On Saturday afternoon and evening, I had the pleasure of going to Chinatown with Nick and my friends Richard and Noah for a stroll down Somerset St. from Percy all the way to Preston. The weather was incredible and quite frankly it was probably one of the most relaxed and pleasant afternoons I’d spent in a long time. There were lots of great little noms to eat (including an amazing dumpling from Yen Fun Ding Dumpling Shoppe) at a lot of the restaurants, as well as some really interesting and incredible art pieces.
I ended up purchasing some photography, “Gesturing Hues” by Nancy Halpin, a really great panning piece from her “Out the Window – Photographic Impressions” collection. At the end of it all was a very relaxed “after party” in the parking lot of Shanghai restaurant where we enjoyed a beer and some good company before heading off to other plans. In any case, it was a remarkably pleasant evening and I ended up taking some pictures, which can be found here.
