It’s just under two weeks away, 12 days to be exact (not that I’m counting). I can’t believe this will be my first solo trip out of the country ever. I’ve done tons of travel around Canada solo, and have done lots of travelling to the US and abroad, but never solo, so I’m a little bit anxious. Compound that with the fact that I have to give an oral presentation at the conference I’ll be attending in Leipzig (www.ifpe2013.org for those who are curious) and you’ve got a whole lot of eeps to go around.
Ultimately, I know I’ll be fine, and there have been some friends who have done the travel thing who are giving me some awesome advice. But all the pre-travel jitters are starting to set in. Did I bring enough clothes? Too many? Should I bring this? What about that? What if my pack’s too heavy? Do I have all the proper documentation? Should I bring cash or go all plastic?
It’s all very daunting! In any case, I’ll continue to document my preparations as I go along. I know I’m gonna have a great time, but in the meantime, I’ll just worry.
